purplecat: The Tardis against a sunset (or possibly sunrise) (Doctor Who)

Black and White head shot of a woman with a 1950s hairstyle, wearing headphones with a microphone.
Paddy Russell, the first and, for a long time the only, female director of Doctor Who.
purplecat: Silhouetted of a Dalek (Who:Dalek)

The Emperor Dalek from Evil of The Daleks on his podium. A Dalek in the foreground with the top of its head removed. This is upside down on the floor containing what looks like a bunch of wires.
I'm guessing this is a behind the scenes picture, since I don't recall any Dalek heads being removed in Evil of the Daleks - though I'm not sure what all the wires are? Presumably they controlled the flashing lights but there seems to be an awful lot of wiring for that...
purplecat: The fourth Doctor. (Who:Four)

Bob Baker died last week aged 82. Also famous for his work on Wallace and Gromit
purplecat: The Master as played by Roger Delgado. (Who:Delgado Master)

The village from the Daemons. Roger Delgado in his red Magister robes is having his make-up touched up.
This from a DWM article which opens with "What gave the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary story, Silver Nemesis, its cinematic quality?" which I can honestly say is a question it had never occurred to me to ask.
purplecat: Black and White photo of Patrick Troughton as Doctor Who (Who:Two)

Black and White photo. Frazer Hines, who played Jamie, is climbing down a white ladder fixed to a brick wall. His kilt hangs admirably straight. A cameraman lies on his back at the foot of the ladder, filming, surrounded by three other men, one standing, two crouching. In the background Patrick Troughton's back can be seen. He appears to be having his hair combed by someone.

Allegedly Frazer Hines had weights sewn into his kilt for the filming of The Invasion prompted by an unfortunate incident where Sally Faulkner's, who played Isobel Watkins, knickers were revealed as she climbed a rope ladder from a helicopter. Having looked at the publicity still that is supposed to capture the incident, her knickers appear to match her jacket so I'm inclined to think they are actually shorts. However, this is not a photo of Sally Faulkner's knickers or her shorts, but of Frazer Hines ensuring he is not upskirted while on a ladder during filming of the same story.
