purplecat: The Tardis against a sunset (or possibly sunrise) (Doctor Who)

Four more Doctor Who companion outfits for your delectation and delight! Outfits selected by a mixture of ones I, personally, like; lists on the internet; and a certain random element.

Selection of images of Dodo's outfit from The Celestial Toymaker. A red peaked cap. A sleeveless dress with a red top with a black circle in the middle and a black skirt with a pattern of red circles.

Dodo in The Celestial Toymaker I suspect the companion outfits in The Celestial Toymaker were deliberatey chosen to emphasise the concept of children's toys and games. Certainly neither Steven nor Dodo ever wore anything quite like this at any other time. I actually think Dodo's dress is a lot of fun - very 1960s.

Selection of images of Nyssa's outfit from Black Orchid. Fancy dress of a moth wiht a blue bodice suggesting a butterfly with a gold body. Layered purple and blue skirts dropping down staight from the bodice - suggesting a flapper dress. Filmy blue wings with a circular patter than hang down from the silver shoulder straps. Blue heeled shoes. A sequined blue mask/hat with antennae.

Nyssa in Black Orchid I don't think Nyssa's fancy dress costume from Black Orchid is as nice as Tegan's, but is a cleverer idea combining a moth/butterfly with a flapper dress.

Selection of images of Tegan's outfit from Warriors of the Deep. A loose-fitting mini-dress in a bold abstract design of reds, yellows, greens, blues and blacks. Red high heels.

Tegan in Warriors of the Deep and The Awakening I've never been sure what I think of these mini-dress type things that Tegan wore. I don't feel like they really do her any favours and seem pretty impractical for adventuring in the Tardis (not that any of Tegan's clothes were that practical for adventuring).

Selection of images of Steven's outfit from The Celestial Toymaker. A thin jumper with dark brown sleeves and bold stripes in three shades of brown and white. Brown trousers.

Steven in The Celestial Toymaker As chance would have it we have the other half of The Celestial Toymaker outfits. I don't think Steven's is at much fun as Dodo's. That jumper is doing most of the work, but once again not much like anything else he ever chose to wear.

I would wear Dodo’s in real life and it’s gotta win this one for me.

Dodo has my vote this time. It's such a fun dress with the large circles on the skirt.
