Four more Doctor Who companion outfits for your delectation and delight! Outfits selected by a mixture of ones I, personally, like; lists on the internet; and a certain random element.






Clara in The Time of the Doctor and Deep Breath For some reason, I think of this as Clara's canonical outfit, even though she didn't wear it that much. Possibly it is because it is a popular cosplay choice.




Tegan in Enlightenment This is possibly the nicest outfit Tegan got to wear, a lovely Edwardian evening gown.




Dan in Survivors of the Flux/The Vanquishers Another Edwardian outfit and a definite improvement in terms of how boring Dan's clothes were - though I think he's still striving for ordinary - just ordinary for 1911.




Polly in The Underwater Menace The Underwater Menace is made fun of for many reasons. To be honest, I quite like the Atlantean costumes, but I can't claim that they stand up to close inspection.

It is fun for both Tegan and Dan to get some historical dress up! Tegan looks like she’s getting married, but I don’t know that I mind that. (Hours of fun for shippers?)

Teagan's is very pretty! The Underwater Menace ones were very uncomfortable so I'll leave them down in Atlantis.

I suspect that with some of these we're learning more about the popularity of the character than the actual merits of the costumes...

If people are doing that then it's not most people, I think. I'd expect Sarah to be doing much better if they were - though that may just show I have some incorrect assumptions about the demographics of those reading this blog.

I want to like Tegan's dress but the completely-wrong-for-the-period neckline puts me off. So I voted for Polly's outfit instead. It's completely bonkers but lots of fun - just like the whole adventure :-)

One wonders if people would like it better if more of it were found - or if they produced a colour animation for it - it would probably benefit from lots of wacky colours!
