I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow, so this is as long as the pandemic hair will get. Growing it has been an interesting exercise but I'm largely bored of it now, and it's started to shed quite a lot.
That’s about as long as mine got, over 16 months. Normally I’d get it cut in a bob to the hairline at the back of the neck, but last Friday I asked for a compromise length halfway between there and the current length. I’ve got used to having it longer again. I used to have it longer before my illlness struck in 1994 and I started 3 years later on tons of chemo drugs daily, which thinned my hair a lot. So I wore it shorter after that. But now I’m on fewer drugs and it’s healthier, so I guess I can try a bit longer again. Though still way shorter than a week ago! All the best for your haircut and journey tomorrow.
Thanks! I think I'm going to go back to my pre-pandemic bob length. I'm not sure I'd want a halfway house of, say, shoulder length, but then I quite like it short.
I was contemplating trying to get it long enough for a big long plait, but given I'm lazy about things like hairdryers I already spend a lot of time with it damp and that will just get longer as it gets longer, if you see what I mean... and experience suggests I won't actually plait it, just let it hang loose.
