purplecat: The Tardis against a sunset (or possibly sunrise) (Doctor Who)

A white long envelope. On the left is the Sylvester McCoy title sequence Tardis in a bubble. It's in a larger circle with background stars and the Sylvester McCoy Dr Who Logo. Right bottom are the words: Doctor Who 25th Anniversary Commemorative Cover and an address for Covercraft. Top Right is an Isaac Newton Stamp showing the planets and the sun with the legend: Motion of Bodies in Elipses. Slightly overlaid on the stamp is a fake postmark of circular line art of the Tardis Console. Around the circle are the words: 25 Year of Doctor Who, 23 November 1988 Gallifrey. In a larger circle around that are the words London EC . Covercraft celebrates. London EC. Covercraft Celebrates.

I've no idea how I acquired this. Did I send off for it? Was I given it? Is it a real first day cover or some kind of mechandizing wheeze from these Covercraft people?

Merchandising wheeze, I think, rather than a Royal Mail issued one, as there was no issu of Doctor Who commemorative stamps in 1988.

Looks like they've got hold of a stock of astronomy-related stamps (that one is related to Isaac Newton) and used them for this since they missed the first day cover date for the original issue of the stamps.
