Reading, Listening, Watching

Reading: Still Extinction Event which I don't really think is much of a comment on the book (beyond an observation that it is obviously possible to put it down) but more a reflection that I've been in a slightly odd/restive/fretful mood for the past few weeks.
Listening: The Radical AI Podcast puts out episodes faster than I can listen to them. I have not quite decided what to do about this (be more selective about which I listen to? Put aside a couple of hours to binge listen in order to catch up?). There's a lot of interest in it, but also some aspects are quite repetitive.
Watching: We have discovered Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro which seems to be a kind of parallel evolution Japanese version of Scooby Doo: as in it has many iterations as a cartoon primarily aimed at a young audience with an excellent and iconic theme tune and is about the supernatural. Mind you the protagonist is a Yokai so there is no concept of meddling kids revealing that nothing spooky is going on at all. Highly recommended if you like that sort of thing.

The Japanese have no problem with rebooting things. There've been about four times as many Ultraman characters as Doctors, and the "continuity" is similarly dis-jointed.
