Long thin image of grassy wetland with water beyond and mountains beyond that. Slight pinkish tinge to the sky.

Taken during a morning long run in which I was determined to get to the Bay and just managed to do so before I had to either turn back or risk running a lot further than planned (having got lost a couple of times along the way). I took a couple of selfies as well but the automated colour balancing has lost the sunrise effect in the sky.

It did occur to me that running on my own in the dark (jet lag had me up early) in a strange city was maybe not the most sensible thing I'd ever done, though Mountain View feels pretty safe. B. warned ominously of Mountain Lions before I left, so I had gone as far as checking the inter webs for local mountain lion sightings before I headed out into the gloom. On the other hand, I'm probably not going to get another chance to see the shore while I'm here and it did look like the most interesting run I could do.
