DWM Issue 334 was entirely devoted to the relationship between Doctor Who and the equally long-lived and hugely popular children's magazine show Blue Peter. A number of the accompanying illustrations were of the Blue Peter Doctor Who Theatre which awakened in me a vague sense of memory. It appeared on the show in 1977 when I was 6 years old so there is a very good chance I watched those episodes, but whether that sense of familiarity arises from that specific event or just that many things were made on Blue Peter over the years, many of which I intended to make myself, and none of which I ever actually did (Oh how I intended to make a Blakes' 7 teleport bracelet out of an empty drinks bottle! I definitely remember that!).

Any way several photos under the cut.

I remember that teleport bracelet! I too intended to make one.

... which is weird, because somehow I only found B7 the week before the last episode, so I have no idea what I thought the teleport bracelet was from. I only watched the rest of it later.

LOL! Maybe you were just attracted by the idea of making a bracelet out of a juice bottle!

I also remember "making one of Goldie's puppies out of a fabric conditioner bottle".

I DID make that bracelet.

Then again I watched B7 in its entirety on the original run.

I'm not sure whether or not I have the Talons DVD. I wonder if it would be fun to rewatch or whether it would be a memory cheats situation.

Also, you wouldn't get children's TV presenters talking about titivation and proscenium arches today. Kids today, etc.

I wouldn't really know to be honest. G. was never much interested in Children's TV once she grew out of CBeebies, preferring YouTube, so I never discovered what Blue Peter is like nowadays.

I'd have done without the RT and drawn my own figures: they would be better!
