Mostly grass and sky though a vague bump is discernable

Windmill Hill, various displays at Avebury were anxious to inform us, is a highly important archeological site, more significant in some ways than Avebury itself.

Unfortunately it does not look like much from the ground...

This is the problem with so many very important Neolithic or Bronze Age sites - there's bugger all to actually *see* when you're on the ground at ground level!

There were at least some bumps here... but if hadn't been were were vaguely seeing where we could get to on foot from Avebury I think we wouldn't have thought it worth the climb.

Mind you, on our way down, we met a party pushing a wheelchair up the track...
