I am wondering actually. I should have foreseen Bill would take it badly. Well I did forsee it, I just thought I'd made it clear enough that it was intended as a fall back for when the other chat wasn't working.

I misjudged the announcement (though I did think about the wording, but it was late and I could have been clearer) but still, it hurt to find strongly worded disapproval in my inbox.

Bill is now playing the martyr and I've lost the energy to work out how best to deal with it. Somebody else's problem...
