I've only just bought an electric toothbrush. I had one before I left home, but that was a long, long time ago. It's very good, and I do think my teeth feel cleaner.

I've made an appointment to see a dentist in St Mellion next month. This will be the first dentist I have seen in about ten years. I am anticipating a similar experience to yours because dentists are just like that. I think there's an episode of The Simpsons where Bart and Lisa are taken to the dentist and on the wall of the waiting room is a poster that says something like "However you're brushing your teeth, it's wrong".

I actually think dentists are pretty cheap. The amount of training required to become a dentist must be pretty lengthy, yet their charge-out rates seem about the same as garage mechanics. My new (private) dentist will charge me for a regular check-up less than a fifth of what my firm would charge him for my time as an accountant.
