We went on holiday to Peru and walked the Inca Trail. More in due course but in the interim have a photo of Machu Picchu.

Fantastic! I've always wanted to visit Machy Picchu.

Definitely worth a visit, though I wish we'd also had time to get to some of the relevant museums - there is zero by way of interpretation at the site.

Fantastic, hope you had a great time. Bacchus did that when he went there in one of the summer vacations at Oxford. I've been to Lima twice for work, but never got to Machu Picchu. We both would love to go back there to do the Inca Trail together, not to mention to sample all the lovely Peruvian food again!

Depending upon the state of your knees, I would recommend sooner rather than later if you want to do it - although weirdly the bit we found hardest (knee-wise) was getting in and out of the tent.
