The first batch of Star Wars crochet figures.

B. somehow managed to mistake C3PO for Chewbacca. He claims it was incorrect choice of yarn colour on my part (TBH, it isn't really golden enough, but choosing yarn colours on the internet is non-trivial and it was called "gold").

Thanks! I wasn't so keen on these "amigurumi" figures when I started out with crochet because they are pretty fiddly. But I'm getting used to them now and they certainly make fun figures.

They're so cute! Well done! Especially Yoda. I can see the confusion with Threepio, but it's obvious enough once you say. And, after all, he freqently gets rather battered and tarnished, so totally canon-appropriate anyway.

Oh excellent, those are so cute.

I suppose droid eyes for C3PO aren't so easy to get hold of either, though I can't see it as Chewbacca, not nearly fluffy enough. :-)

yes, the Chewbacca model involves a fair amount of brushing in order to generate the requisite fluffiness.

Cute! But Chewbacca doesn't have a disc on him. A smooth Chewy would look odd so I hope the crochet book has managed to find away around this problem.

Yes, I thought the disc was a bit of a give away! The book gets you to brush the Chewy model after you've made it so it looks all shaggy - we'll see how well that works when I get to that point (and if I can find a suitable brush).
