It's one of those standard puzzles with a kind of triangular-ish grid to help you solve it. I suspect I copied it from a Logic Puzzle book and then changed the words to Doctor Who relevant ones.
I have no recollection, but looking at the length and the letters you get from the two words that intersect it, I'm guessing the answer is Hartnell. 20 years on I'd say that was a bit rubbish as a clue/answer combination, but there you go.
EDIT: Just noticed it says "answers next issue". I've looked in the next issue and the answer is indeed Hartnell - though I clearly tried to spell it Heartnell and then realised I didn't have enough letters...
These are brilliant. I don't know if I have anything of my unfinished 1984 fanzine Enlightenment about in my Doctor Who it 'Juvenilia' boxes. It's a great what-might-have-been.
