River Song Paper doll in the sort of green bunched skirt outfit with a wide belt and gun.
I bet you thought all the Paper Dolls were Doctors or companions. But no!

Paper doll of Martha in the Maid outfit from Human Nature/Family of Blood

All things considered, this is not the outfit I would have chosen as the third of Martha's outfits. I would have gone for the evening dress from The Lazarus Experiment, I think. Probably as the dress on the doll in the first place, to be honest. Martha is looking pretty unimpressed with the choice as well.

Despite trying to anticipate where I needed to leave white bits in place to cover the doll underneath, you can still see a bit of the white coat there. She's looking much happier mind.
purplecat: Donna Noble (Who:Donna)

Donna Noble paper doll in the long jacket/grey jumper tunic look she wore in her final story.

I like this outfit - and even spotted that I needed to leave the white card between her legs in order to hide the dress on the doll underneath! We also get the doll in the pose used in the relevant publicity photo which is nice.

Paper Doll of Donna looking very angry in her wedding dress.

I like this one. The arms look slightly out of proportion, but it definitely captures Donna in full-on angry runaway bride mode.

Looking, if anything, even more annoyed than the Rose doll, though in this case one assumes it is deliberate.

NB. Martha doll has not be omitted for those who may be concerned. I'm assuming Donna comes first because of The Runaway Bride.

1950s Rose

This looks better than I expected given I had to alter the shoulder tabs so I could actually bend them (the Rose doll underneath has fairly big hair which was getting in the way). Also, halfway through cutting out the head I realised the large white spaces at the bottom were probably there to cover said "big hair" - so on the right the hair is covered (kind-of) and on the left it isn't, but I don't think that's really noticeable at first glance.

Rose Doll in her short denim dress from Tooth and Claw.
If we're making entirely unsubstantiated judgements about the artist's fondness for the characters based on the doll's pose (which we seem to be doing), then I'm guessing Rose wasn't one of his favourites.

Iconic Ace

Paper doll of Ace in her classic outfit: black tights, short black skirt, bomber jacket and baseball bat.
I have a suspicion I may have lost a head somewhere along the way, however this outfit looks fine with the head the doll comes with!
purplecat: Romana 2 from Doctor Who (Who:Romana 2)

Paper doll of the second Romana in her pink fourth Doctor coat and long white scarf.

B. once expressed a desire for this outfit and I had a brief ambition that we could cosplay with him in Romana's pink fourth Doctor outfit and me in a Peter Capaldi outfit until I realised that I neither had the time nor, frankly, the tailoring skills to make this a reality.

While I am all for the inclusion of Romana 2 as a paper doll. I think the single biggest crime committed by this book is the omission of Romana 1.
purplecat: Sarah from Doctor Who - Short hair and a hat. (Who:Sarah)

Sarah Jane paper doll in her 2006 outfit. Sadly does not well conceal Planet of the Spiders outfit underneath.
I think this was one of the cooler (if obvious) ideas in the costume book - having a NuWho as well as Classic Who version of the character. It's a shame therefore that this is one of the worst outfits for concealing the clothes underneath.
purplecat: Jo Grant from Doctor Who (Who:Jo)

Paper doll of Jo Grant in her Curse of Peladon outfit.
This is an obvious outfit to choose for Jo, but one of the less well executed cut-outs - it has slipped down off her shoulders because of the tab placement and the shoes don't actually cover the boots of the doll underneath.
purplecat: Jo Grant from Doctor Who (Who:Jo)

Paper Doll of Jo Grant in a blue mini-dress, big fluffy blue fur coat and thigh length boots.
I almost had to resort to blue tac with this one because the fluffy coat meant the tabs were well above the doll's shoulders, but I managed to bend down some of the fluffy blue-ness and voila!

I can understand why they chose not to have paper dolls for all the companions, and why they chose to omit all the black and white companions as a result. But I feel the omission of Liz Shaw is an injustice (and it will not be the last).

And as a bonus extra in memory of Terrance Dicks: "The laboratory door opened. A very small, very pretty girl came in. Quite unsurprised she slapped the coughing Doctor on the back, gave him a glass of water and opened the laboratory window to let out the smoke.

`Foiled again, Doctor?" asked Jo Grant sympathetically."
- Day of the Daleks (from which the above outfit hails), by Terrance Dicks.
