Four more Doctor Who companion outfits for your delectation and delight! Outfits selected by a mixture of ones I, personally, like; lists on the internet; and a certain random element.






Sarah in Pyramids of Mars A rare, vaguely historical, costume for Sarah though within the story she just happens to have picked it at random from the Tardis wardrobe and then they end up in Edwardian Britain.




Yaz in Spyfall I like both the Doctor and Yaz's interpretations of a tux here - since the Doctor isn't eligible, Yaz must suffice.




Liz in Spearhead from Space There is something very 1970s about this. It is partly the colour, of course, but also those panels - whatever they are.




Mel in Ddelta and the Bannermen Mel thought she was going to Disneyland in the 1950s which, I think, is why she's dressed as something approximating a country and western singer.

Liz's coat is so much fun and I love her wonderfully dry sarcasm in that episode.

I think she was the first "properly adult" companion we had had since Ian and Barbara and arguably the last until Donna with the 14th Doctor - though it is harder to know how to categorise some of the later companions in terms of how grown up they are (e.g., Romana).

I think Yaz's is probably the weakest. I prefer the Doctor's tux.

Liz's coat panels are probably made of material banned for being toxic now, but it's what I think of her wearing.

The panels are quite something, aren't they! And unlike when Zoe was wearing plastic, they are aiming for contemporary rather than futuristic!
