We are on a short break in Portmeirion, mostly dodging the weather while trying to complete our respective dissertation projects and grant rebuttals.

We went up a stairway and found an indoor space we had not discovered before (possibly because it was shut due to Covid, possibly because it was past the loos and we assumed there was nothing there). In this space was a "taskmaster" chair which B sits in more convincingly, I feel, than Marmalade Sparrow.

Dolphin Cottage

Dolphin Cottage is the top two floors or that yellow building. We see the trees from all the windows.

The Chinese Lake

It's a lovely place albeit with a weird mix of lovely and tacky.

Today's our last day so I'm not sure it that will happen - but if I see someone looking like you about the place I will say hello!

Oh I adore Portmeirion, am deeply jealous that you are actually staying there.

Also we are currently watching The Prisoner (which we have never seen before), so in my head it's also full of weird people in colourful cloaks and a big scary sphere. :)

No spheres to speak of. You can buy those cloaks in the shop and I'm tempted, but can't honestly think when I would actually wear one!

Yay, what gorgeous weather you had to enjoy it in! I love Portmeirion.

LOL! Honestly it's been classic spring weather. One of the advantages of actually being in the Village is that you can nip out when the sun is shining and then retreat when suddenly there is torrential downpour and a gale. We woke up yesterday morning to snow on the mountain tops and glorious sunshine - but it was pouring by mid-afternoon.
