purplecat: The Tardis against a sunset (or possibly sunrise) (Doctor Who)

Four more Doctor Who companion outfits for your delectation and delight! Outfits selected by a mixture of ones I, personally, like; lists on the internet; and a certain random element.

Selection of images of Mel's outfit from Terror of the Vervoids. Cream trouswers with a matching jacket that comes to the waist with a belt. The jacket appears to have no fasening at the front and has puffy three quarter length sleeves. The trousers are tucked into high-heeled white boots. She is wearing a blue blouse under the jacket with puffed sleeves come to her elbow.

Mel in Terror of the Vervoids Apparently Sylvester McCoy once joked to Bonnie Langford that there must be a branch of Marks and Spencers in the Tardis. Of all the companions in the 1980s, her clothes most looked like they had been picked with an eye to what was fashionable.

Selection of images of Grace's outfit from the TV Movie. Purple or possibly grey trousers in a shiny material, with a fluffy purple/grey coat over the top that is belted at the waist. A pink silk shirt. Over all of this in one shot a long grey coat and purple mittens.

Grace in the TV Movie Obviously I could have picked Grace's ball gown, but it's not actually in that many shots while here we have the outfit she wore for most of the movie. I guess it is also the only example of 1990s fashion we're going to see.

Selection of images of Clara's outfit from The Girl who Died. Black trousers (possibly jeans) tuckedinto brown boots with several straps. A blue button up shirt. Over this a light brown sleeveless tunic with darker ribbon at the edges. It does not do up but is belted at the waist.

Clara in The Girl who Died I think this outfit suits Clara, but I also like the way it is constructed as a mixture of the local viking clothing and, presumably, the clothes Clara was wearing when the adventure started.

Selection of images of Jo's outfit from The Time Monster. A long dress from a striped material, constructed so the stripes form a V pointing down at the front and pointing up at the back. It has a wide waist band with rolled edging - also in a striped material. A low short sleved top in a paler material. Necklaces and bracelets and an elaborate wig with a ringlets either side of her face and plaits across the top.

Jo in The Time Monster There is this moment in The Time Monster where Jo is taken away to be dressed appropriately by the citizens of Atlantis. The startling thing is that, as well as spare dresses (with, it would appear, zips), they apparently had spare wigs.
