Four more Doctor Who companion outfits for your delectation and delight! Outfits selected by a mixture of ones I, personally, like; lists on the internet; and a certain random element.






Romana in Destiny of the Daleks This isn't my favourite Romana outfit, but I do think this mirror of the Doctor's own clothes is probably her wittiest outfit.




Leela in Horror of Fang Rock Leela ended up in historical costumes surprisingly often given her "look" involved leather animal skins. She nearly always changed out of these frocks as quickly as possible and I actually had a lot of difficulty finding shots of this one.




Rose from Rose and End of the World This is the canonical look for Rose, at least from series 1. Jeans and a hoodie with some pink.




Polly from The War Machines Polly was brought in to be a "Dolly bird" and I think there was a deliberate decision to make her clothes more fashionable. If I recall correctly, many were actually Anneke Wills' own. I'm not 100% sure about this one which is supposed to be her "sensible secretary" look.

Polly’s work outfit looks as spacey-futurey to me as anybody’s spacey getups!

There's definitely something about late 60s clothing that's a bit space age in general.

Unlike you, this is one of my favourite Romana II looks. For exactly the reason you state. The mirroring of Tom Baker's signature style works very well for me.

The fact that Polly's dress here is supposed to be "sensible" shows up how bizarre some fashions of the 60s were (the 70s were of course worse in many ways).

I like it well enough, just there are a couple of outfits I like better - the Horns of Nimon one for instance. But if I were in anyway capable of tailoring I would seriously consider making that outfit as cosplay.

I voted for Polly. I like Romana's Four copy, but I'd rather have a brown or grey coat like Four's as I don't like pink and it hates me back.

LOL! Of course you could go for a Four outfit copy in the print used for Polly's dress!
