purplecat: The Tardis against a sunset (or possibly sunrise) (Doctor Who)

Four more Doctor Who companion outfits for your delectation and delight! Outfits selected by a mixture of ones I, personally, like; lists on the internet; and a certain random element.

A very "Daleky" selection!

Selection of images of Susan's outfit from The Daleks. A while top, possibly a cardigan with button up the front and a pixie collar. Black narrow trousers. Flat black slip on shoes. Grey socks.

Susan from The Daleks. This is a fairly typical trousers and top look for Susan. I like the detailing of the shirt collar.

Selection of images of Rose's outfit from Dalek. Baggy jenas and a white sleeveless stretch top. White bra straps are visible at the shoulders. In one image she is wearing a pink hoodie over this.

Rose from Dalek I'm not sure if this counts as a separate outfit or we can simply assume it is what Rose is mostly wearing under her pink hoodie. The big hair though, is restricted to this story and The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances.

Selection of images of Vicki's outfit from The Rescue and the Web Planet. A black tunic top with a large zig-zag motif at the collar and three-quarter length sleeves. Black leggings and boots.

Vicki from The Rescue and The Web Planet I think this is what people mostly think of when they think of Vicki's outfit. It's certainly instantly recognisable when cos-played. I was surprised, though, how tricky it was to find decent full length shots of it. It's surprising how effectively it conveys "futuristic", given it's mostly a tunic with a fancy collar.

Selection of images of Tegan's outfit from Resurrection of the Daleks. A black leather mini-skirt with a belt with metal detailing slung loosely across one hip. A white sleeveless top with a bold black and red abstract pattern. Black high heels.

Tegan in Resurrection of the Daleks Tegan in her final few stories was all about colourful prints. Arguably this was the most flattering contemporary outfit she ever got. It's not shapeless (which some of them were) but she also doesn't looked like she's been squeezed into something too tight-fitting in some misguided attempt to appeal to the "Dads".

This has been the hardest for me to pick one in yet. I like Vicki's, but if anything it's too simple, apart from the collar. And Susan and Rose aren't making much impression on me at all. It isn't something I would ever remotely wear myself, but for sheer chutzpah and impact I'm going with Tegan. It is definitely one of her classier outfits of that kind, and thankfully not a boob tube!

Can't say any of these excited me. It was a choice between Susan and Vicki and I chose Vicki for the collar.
