I'm not quite sure why Livejournal thinks it is my birthday today since in previous years it has been well aware that actually my birthday is not until Saturday.

Birthday wishes gratefully accepted, of course, just mildly embarrassing that they are premature.

Will be fiddling settings shortly.

EDIT: Nope, as far as I can tell LJ believes my birthday is the 24th. Perhaps it thinks today is the 24th?

I have just fiddled with a computing colleague's Rapberry Pi. I told her about your robots. She doesn't have robots!

She can get an additional board called the piFace from Manchester which will allow her to attach the wheels (well engines) of her choice to the Raspberry Pi. There seems to be a small industry in buying unloved remote control toys from car boot sales and then writing them up to Raspberry Pis.

Nope, it's not you, lj seems to believe that today is the 24th, since I've just had three lj messages telling me it's your birthday, Fi's birthday, and another friend's birthday today, when I know that every single one of them isn't until Saturday!

Fred has suggested LJ is getting its on-the-day and two-days-in-advance notices mixed up. Maybe on Saturday you'll be informed it's my birthday on Monday!!

So if LJ thinks your birthday's today, what has it done with my birthday? LJ has stolen my birthday! Although, on the plus side, I guess it means I can stay at my present age forever more. :-)

There is a theory that LJ has the "two days to go" and "birthday TODAY" notifications the wrong way around (I didn't even know there was this multiplicity of notifications). So maybe LJ hasn't stolen your birthday but simply moved it to Sunday...

B is somewhere on the M6 at the moment so I'm not feeling all that celebratory. But tomorrow looks like it might be fun since it is the "Year 5 Mum's Night Out".
