Reading, Listening, Watching

Reading: I just finished What if? by Randall Munroe (the man behind xkcd). I think someone gave me this for my birthday last year. Not B - who has been less impressed than I feel he should have been by me conveying facts like "if you launched a mole of moles into space they would form a planet slightly larger than the moon" - though in that case he did comment that the moles would be cute (not, I fear, the moles at the centre of the planet). I'm about to start Trojans by
infinitarian.
Listening: Currently a Fansplaining episode about slash which is articulating changes I had barely noticed, but ring true, about how the discourse around slash has changed over the past 15 years. Certainly their descriptions of the way slashers viewed themselves in the early 2000s rings quite true to me of the days when Primeval fandom was in its infancy and I hadn't really noticed that slashers don't talk in those terms so much any more - in part, I suspect, because Primeval fandom has generally got a lot quieter.
Watching: Well, obviously we watched a Mrs Peel Avengers episode. We decided upon one of the black and white ones and then rolled dice to pick disc and episode on disc from the box set. We ended up with The House that Jack Built one of the few episodes I retained strong memories of from viewing re-runs on BBC2 in the 1980s and also a good Mrs Peel episode. So well done the dice!
