Reading: Still Liberal Capitalism though I think I've reached the last essay. I'm not sure what to make of it, to be honest. It is, apparently, only one of two textbooks that shipped with the course and there were also primary source and map books, but the chapters are far more in the form of essays putting forward a particular interpretation of history than the overviews I was expecting. Obviously, at university level, you would expect people to be dealing with history as interpretation but I'm a little surprised at the official textbook providing often only one interpretation rather than a variety.

Listening: The latest episode of the Verity Podcast turned out to be a review of a Great British Bake Off episode... which was cute and entertaining enough even though I don't watch Bake Off. Even so, and understanding that this is their way of coping, I realised I wanted to hear what they thought of A Message from the Doctor. I wasn't put off enough to be bothered to stop running and fiddle with the podcast app, but I wanted more Doctor Who.

Watching: I sort of envy all the people who are managing to watch the plethora of free plays and concerts that are being put out. I turns out that we mostly can't manage anything more taxing than Animated Star Trek which is much better than it has any right to be on its obviously minimal budget but still feels like a wasted opportunity when we could be watching, I don't know, concerts from the London Symphony Orchestra - or even just Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals.
