On the way home from one of my Birmingham trips last week.

These were, I eventually established, Spanish football fans on their way to a Europa League match in Wolverhampton. The carriage was so full I didn't even attempt to find my way to my reserved seat. They were singing "Boris Johnson is my friend" and, later, "fuck Brexit". They covered the carriage with Curve RCDE stickers and stickers of Anne Frank (I have no idea why).

In retrospect they were nice enough, but at the time rather intimidating.

I don't understand any of this either (is "Boris Johnson is my friend" sarcasm?) but I too have encountered Spanish football fans in London more often than I have in Spain. To be fair I don't get out much.

I have no idea what the general opinion of the UK government or anything else is my country but since they're like fuck brexit I'm just gonna hope.
