The work reported here was done by a former PhD student of B's, but you'll notice B. gets to comment anyway. He was filmed by the BBC on Monday (to be broadcast we don't know when but presumably one of today's news programs) and interviewed by 5 Live last night (ditto). He's just emailed to say he's also going to be filmed by Newsround later today, presumably for their program this afternoon.

Date: 2012-02-29 02:05 pm (UTC)Mind you, I didn't much enjoy keeping myself awake until stupid-o-clock so I could answer the phone if he didn't make it back before they rang - as it was he had about 5 minutes to catch his breath when he got in.

Date: 2012-02-29 07:04 pm (UTC)I think media people genuinely forgot after a while that most people don't keep the same hours as them. I've had to think twice in the past when it comes to phoning people after 10pm.
I'm not in B's league, obviously, but I've done bloody radio interviews at 6am!
