First time I had revisited Doc Soc since 1992 (I think). Much was the same, though a data projector and screen make a welcome change from a telly that had to be physically carried into the room.

I was involved in a similar club, and the television lived in our house during non-club times. Which meant every month it got carried out to a car, driving in comfort, and then carried up stairs to the second floor. Good times...

Oh yes! Ours had to be carried down three stories of spiral staircase to get to the room the society used (and then back up again at the end of the evening) !

Spiral stairs! Oh, my. I'm not good at stairs at the best of times, and I think that would have made me refuse to be involved.

Well I generally got to observe than actually carry...

I usually only had to carry at one end of the trip, but that was either down the front stairs, or somehow out the back door.
