From the era when DWM really was getting in touch with the best fan writers and artists and reeling them in.

I was very struck, paging through the issue. How much art there was compared to other eras of the publication. I also noticed that the paper quality seemed to have gone down a bit (compared to issue 100 which I'd also looked a recently) - a sign of very different times.
