Hadrian's Wall, Day 5

24 miles. My feet ache terribly however, thanks to the advice of the wonderful
No wall to be seen, though there were occasional earthworks, but once we had crossed the M6 and reached Carlisle (which B. keeps referring to as Cardiff), the walk was mostly dominated by the Solway Firth, including the little faux Roman hut at the end of the walk in which you could get the final stamp in your "passport".

Date: 2017-08-06 09:52 pm (UTC)Lol, I remember being dubious about Compeed as well, but they have been on every school kit list for at least eight years and although the kids have never touched therm I have raided them a few times and they are better than a plaster but then for the price they should be!!
