What with one thing an another I've been working from home a lot the past month. I reckon I'm phoned at least once, if not twice, per day by either T-mobile (from whom we used to get Internet), talk-talk (from whom we currently get Internet) or 3 (who supply Internet to my mobile phone dongle) to offer us a free deal of some kind. I've given up asking them to take us off their database. Does anyone know if it's worth contacting the TPS (with whom we are registered) about this? Since we either have a current contract with each company (or used to and anyway T-mobile is now owned by Talk-talk) I'm not sure if this falls under the TPS remit but it's reached the point where it's intensely annoying.

I think you're probably not going to get any help on the two you do actually have a relationship with, but you might be able to get T-Mobile to shut up.

I had a feeling that was the case. I'm mystified why the sudden rash of calls though, probably something to do with Christmas but I can't think why that would make me likely to upgrade my internet or want a free mobile phone.

Are any of your contracts reaching the end of the period where you can't change? That might prompt it. A new phone probably means a new contract that you can't change for a year or so.

Contacting customer services might help ... or it might not. I have no idea what any of those companies are like for customer service, lol.

It's possible, though I don't think so. My phone is pay-as-you-go, so it's not that, and I think I've got another four or five months on the dongle.

I'm *fairly* sure that, even if you have a relationship with the company, you ought to be able to opt out of telephone marketing. (On the other hand, that might just apply to email). Checking with the TPS would definitely be a good idea.
