WOW, that's organised. I haven't got around to thinking about it yet. It'll depend on whether I can get anyone to share a room, I guess.

I discovered after digging about a bit (i.e. looking on the LJ comm for Eastercon rather than the actual website) that the hotel booking info only went up on Monday!! and there seems to a lot of disatisfaction about the room rates. However B and I decided that we'd rather be sure about actually getting a room in the hotel itself than worrying too much about shaving the maximum off the cost.

What about bringing Mr FB along? I'm sure he and B could entertain each other if we were off being strange.

The problem with bringing Mr FB would be having to put the dogs in kennels and we're not really happy about putting Bonnie, the elder one, in there as she doesn't eat well at the best of times, and we do worry about her. She 14 now.

I'll see if I can interest Luka or Bigtitch again.

What are the room rates?

They are little misleading as published (as is pointed out on the comm post) because they don't include VAT. We ended up paying £120 per night for a double, not sure how it works out for singles and twins, though I assume the twin room rates are broadly equivalent to the doubles.

There's not likely to be much difference. It's certainly more than I'd pay by myself. I'll see if I can drum up any interest.
