When Christian Cooke wandered downstairs gratuitously shirtless in Demons last night I...

... collapsed in uncontrollable hysterical laughter.

Other thoughts on Demons:

I'm no expert on accents but Philip Glenister's American one sounds distinctly fishy to me and I couldn't really make out why he talks like some kind of Victorian hellfire preacher. I'm hoping they'll reveal, in a later episode, that he's actually 500 years old.

I don't generally pay much attention to effects but the creatures looked rather unconvincing.

The team appear marginally more competent than Torchwood.

The plot more or less made sense though.

Not sure if I'll be watching next week.

I must admit, that was my first instinct too *g* But then I looked really closely and payed attention to every muscle, and then I quite enjoyed it, LOL!!!

I enjoyed it, but I wasn't blown away. And PG's accent is a bit wonky - I never have liked faux American accents from Brit actors.

Seems to be getting rather a lot of negative attention in some places :-) But it's not really aimed at people like us, is it? I didn't think it was terrible, but it wasn't brilliant either. Not as good as Merlin, certainly.

TBH, I thought it was crap. All the villains looked like rejects from Worzle Gummidge, which put me right off.

And the amount of time poor CC was kept shirtless reminded me of S1 Primeval. Very contrived, and Adrian Hodges really out to grow out of plot lines like that.

The whole thing made me faintly grumpy.

I was saying exactly the same thing to Mr FB whilst walking the dogs this morning. I was pleased to see Survivors is getting another run.

But the real problem is this bloody 6 episodes per run thing. The original Survivors was 38 over 3 series. It's a wholly different order of magnitude. It makes every series now little more than a ruddy teaser, with no guarantee of proper development.

I was bored of Mackenzie Crook's false nose and Philip Glenister's wandering accent after about 20 minutes and went off to watch Neil Oliver's history of Scotland, which was far more diverting *g*.
