Channel D was a tele-fantasy fanzine that ran for several years in the late 1980s. I've no idea quite why I started buying it, I vaguely recall there was a specific reason and I think it was produced by the set of Dr Who fans that included Paul Cornell at the time but I wouldn't want to swear to this. I have about 4 years' worth of issues and even had some Robin of Sherwood fanfiction published in it.

The inside front cover claims it is the quarterly journal of the Fantasy Factory - so I guess I must have been a member of the Fantasy Factory ?!?

I have a vague idea it may have had something to do with the FanAid (later Falcon) conventions...

The set around Queen Bat (which included Cornell) were, very much so.

They published my fanfic and I now recall, having flicked through a couple of issues, a set of humorous character summaries my sister wrote. There's also quite a bit of RoS artwork in the issues so I'm guessing they were keen enough on it. In various issues Paul Cornell wrote on Edge of Darkness, Sapphire and Steel, Mork and Mindy and there is Paul Cornell Avengers fanfic.
