Reading: Still catching up on fanfic. Currently reading stuff downloaded on Christmas Day - so that will be the Yuletide fics that caught my eye based on fandom and summary - I've not yet got to anything that appeared in a rec post.

Listening: No more Zombies! Run! This is a mixed blessing. I've more time for listening to podcasts, but I'd say the the Verity Podcast remains the only one I'm actively enthusiastic about.

Watching: B. bought a complete Futurama boxset and I bought an The Avengers, Season 4 boxset. G v. enthusiastic about Futurama but B. is away so I'm making her watch The Avengers.

Is season four of The Avengers the black and white Emma Peel season? I think that's the best season overall. The move to colour opened up the American market (although the filmed black and white episodes were sold there), but made the budgetary limitations more obvious as well as losing atmosphere.

Yes it is. I have fond memories of a rerun of it sometime in the 1980s. We have one of the Cathy Gale seasons on DVD and then 6 episodes of a colour Mrs Peel season, which I've always thought inferior to the Cathy Gale eps. Seeing how this one measures up.

There are some very good Cathy Gale episodes, but I think overall I prefer the colour Emma Peel season to the Cathy Gale ones. The programme changed so much stylistically it feels a bit like comparing apples and oranges at times, though.

We've re-watched the colour Emma Peel more often than the Cathy Gale, but that's more because on the odd occasion where we've a guest who might be interested in watching the Avengers, picking an Emma Peel episode is a bit of no-brainer given how iconic she is.

No end in sight and presumably a whole load of fandom stocking stuff is about to hit...

I think fandom stocking has been hit by an absence of bunnies this year & I expect lots of pretty to stare at!

I managed to cut down my Yulefics down last night when I couldn't remember who the characters were in a couple of fics:S

I've managed fewer, longer fics for fandom stocking this year which I think is probably an improvement (though not necessarily from the POV of the mod, I suppose). Though I'll confess I'm amusing myself at the moment writing drabbles and making icons for random stockings on the grounds the whole thing may open at any moment (but probably won't until Monday AM UK time).

You do get that with yulefics occasionally, sometimes its just way too involved with a canon I don't know as much about as maybe I think I did, or I realise that the bits of that canon that I recall or which grabbed me are obviously not the bits this other person liked.

I'm a fic down on last year but they are slightly longer, a couple of them were drabbles. I was hoping to write a One fic but I can't move past him saying, "Hmm." I've stuffed a stack of greetings banners to get over my lack of bunnies guilt.
