I see what you meant about a "good haul" of presents! I didn't know you were into Star Wars though, or is it primarily about the crocheting? I'm holding fire on the Power DVD - not sure if it's worth "upgrading" from the audio CD. Although as my "in order" re-viewing has just reached The Sensorites I've got a while to decide.
Well everyone was into Star Wars when I was growing up. I wasn't particularly grabbed by the prequel trilogy but I liked Force Awakens well enough that I've written a few really short stories for it (for various people's fandom giftboxes/stockings) and made icons and the like similarly. That said, I'm not in general a massive merchandise person (even for Doctor Who) so I the crochet aspect was definitely part of the attraction.
I know. The Teenager and I had such fun with the lego I believe Tame Layman is trying to find something similar for Christmas - though he's struggling a little. That Tardis console hit a really sweet spot in terms of price, complexity and general geekiness.
It's a very nice Lego kit, lots of cool touches. The doorway into the console room can be detached and sort of folded up to become a little model of the exterior of the Tardis!
