purplecat: The Tardis against a sunset (or possibly sunrise) (Doctor Who)
[personal profile] purplecat
Two Doctor Who companion outfits for your delectation and delight! Outfits selected by a mixture of ones I, personally, like; lists on the internet; and a certain random element.

Completely against all my expectations this outfit of Sarah's beat Zoe's amazing 1960s plastic mini-skirt futurism from The Krotons. Of course, no one's opinion can be objectively wrong about Dr Who costumes, but I feel it would be a travesty if Sarah managed to beat Romana here though, I suppose, Sarah's definitely wins on practicality.

Selection of images of Romana's outfit from The Ribos operation. A long white goan gathered into pleats at the front. Wide sleeves that reach almost to the ground. A headress made from a string of pearls and a floor length white fur coat.

Selection of images of Sarah's outfit from The Time Warrior. Black trousers and brown shoes. A tartan tank top in black, white and brown. A white shirt with a wide collar and a blue jacket with large lapels.

I was just as suprised as you at Sarah beating Zoe in the last round! Personally I find her outfit incredibly bland and boring but I grew up in the 70s. Maybe younger people just find it charmingly retro? In any case I'm definitely voting for Romana this round!

I love Sarah Jane, but Romana slays. Made me think of this:
