purplecat: The Tardis against a sunset (or possibly sunrise) (Doctor Who)
[personal profile] purplecat
Two Doctor Who companion outfits for your delectation and delight! Outfits selected by a mixture of ones I, personally, like; lists on the internet; and a certain random element.

Two 1960s outfits here. The practicality of Barbara in a very fetching hat vs. Zoe's shorts and jacket outfit - which, to be honest, is a bit less space age than a lot of her outfits were.

Selection of images of Zoe's outfit from the Space Pirates. A pale/white leotard shaped like shorts at the leg that is zipped up the front with a black zip with a circular decorative tab. It has black detailing on the seems and the edges at the sleeves. Over this is a short jacket in a simlar style. The overall effect is of white panels with black edging. Black boots.

Selection of images of Barbara's outfit from Marco Polo. Tight black trousers, possibly velvet. Flat shoes. A long black top in a shiny material that buttons up the front. It has wide sleeves that durn up to reveal a green and orange patterned lining. It has a high orange collar. In one picture she is wearing a conical straw hat.

That was a difficult choice. I like both outfits but in the end Barbara's outfit won because of the hat :-)

Is it just me, or does the middle picture of Barbara look like she's holding a short wand by her side? I know it's just her hand being aligned with an edge of her tunic/thingy, and I suspect I'm reading too much Potter fanfic...

I can't resist a groovy outfit it seems:) Although I think the gusset is a bit high for comfort.
