I'm currently on a research visit to York. One of the academics I'm visiting spotted my Tardis broach and mentioned that the nearest petrol station had a Tardis, two Daleks and a Cyberman. Since this was not far off the walk from my hotel to the campus, naturally I detoured that way this morning.

The roof Dalek! I did my MA in York and often passed it. I hope you have a good visit.

I don't know if you Star Trek, but there used to be a bit of graffiti near campus that looked exactly like a purple Ferengi. I'm not sure that was intentional, though.

It's pretty Cool! Though when B. saw the photos he asked all sorts of questions like "could you get into the Tardis?" and "Does it have electric vehicle charging?" that I hadn't thought to investigate at the time.

I confess, I have not spotted any purple Ferengi-like grafittI! Though I'm not sue I would necessarily recognise it as such!

The visit is going very well. I've learned a lot more about what they do here.
