B. may (or may not) feature in a new two-part BBC series, Secrets of the Jurassic Dinosaurs. The first episode will be on BBC 2 (and iPlayer) on Sunday at 8pm: details here.

I believe, when filming, he had both forgotten his shaver and fallen over and cut open his head so he may not look quite his normal self if he has made it into the programme and not merely ended up on the cutting room floor.

We are watching it - and him - now, although I doubted my initial identification of him because of the beard.

By the time he got home he was more beardy, but the cut on his head didn't look quite so dramatic.

Every time I saw him on screen, he was wearing a hat; so either they didn't show him without it, or the cut completely changed his appearance (or I just wasn't paying attention).

You could see the cut, but maybe it was only obvious to me because I knew it was there - up on his forehead, just below the hat, held together by two paper stitches.

I am currently looking hard at B's head whenever he appears on screen.
