I had never before purchased a copy of Marie Claire until they did a Jodie Whittaker photo shoot, though no doubt I will do so again if they do another. That said, this outfit convinces me that I will never understand fashion.
Well, I'm fairly sure Marie Claire is a fashion magazine and in the top right of the photo you have the dress designer and the article consists of photos of her in a number of different frocks so I'm assuming that it does fall under some definition of fashion...
... Well, I suppose she is inside it. But it looks more like a tent that has somehow lost its poles... I like the colours though I feel it would be perilous in a high wind.
Normally I do not have a question for actors at cons. However, should I ever be at a Q&A where Jodie Whittaker turns up I do now have a question. WTF? :D
I mean, its obviously the kind of thing one wears for effect on red carpets for premieres and that kind of thing, but even so one can't help feeling one would spend most of one's time tripping over it.
I hadn't thought of the tent comparison but yes, it does look rather like a tent.
I strongly suspect the answer is "The magazine people turned up with this big pile of designer frocks and once I saw that one, who wouldn't try it on?"
