Apparently this isn't uncommon. I bought one of those electric toothbrushes which supposedly tells you if you are brushing too hard.

Don't get me started on dentists. No sign of an NHS one in this area, so I've just moved practices. The bloke seems pleasant and he passed my test as to whether he would recommend unnecessary work. But blimey, the prices are double what they were in my previous (also private) practice.
