I was tagged by
philmophlegm, but won't be tagging anyone since I get the impression that's not popular on my flist. However, feel free to consider yourself tagged if you wish.
1. Do you like blue cheese?
Yes.
2. Have you ever smoked?
Once.
3. Do you own a gun?
No.
4. What is your favourite flavour?
I'm rubbish at picking favourites in almost any context, I can possibly manage to pick a favourite from a short list of options, or if you ask something more specific like - what is your favourite flavour on a sunny afternoon in the garden, I might manage.
5. Do you get nervous before doctor visits?
No, though I can imagine circumstances in which I might.
6. What do you think of hot dogs?
I like them, though I'm not much of a one for the trimmings. I like fried onions but can live without ketchup or mustard.
7. Favourite Christmas movie?
Err... I'd say see above, but I don't even really watch Christmas movies. I think a lot of them are terrible.
8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning?
Coffee.
9. Do you do push-ups?
No. I have occasionally tried to build up to push-ups since my upper body strength is feeble, but I've never really got anywhere.
10. What’s your favourite piece of jewelry?
I have a small necklace which
claraste and family gave me, with a single small dark pendant stone which is about the only thing I wear when I'm dressing up "smart" so that would probably count. Though, come to think of it, I always wear my wedding and engagement rings, so probably them.
11. Favourite hobby?
My main hobbies are running, crocheting, writing, and roleplaying but I'd be hard pushed to pick a favourite. They fulfil different functions.
12. Do you have A.D.D.?
No.
13. What’s the one thing you hate about yourself?
Hate is probably too strong a word, but my voice gets too loud too easily and I tend not to notice and I can dominate conversations when excited.
14. Middle name?
Abigail. It may or may not be a family tradition for middle names to begin with A. My Dad claims (claimed) it is but my Mum seems to think he is/was making up a story to fit the evidence.
15. Name three thoughts right now?
Errr...
How much email can I process before I am needed elsewhere (this counts as email processing because pp's tag got emailed to me as a notification)?
Should I take my mother and G to see Ghostbusters today or wait until B arrives tomorrow?
Is there any pesto in the house?
16. Name 3 drinks you drink regularly.
Coffee. Ginger Ale. Wine.
17. Where's the question?
I'm afraid I don't understand this any more than PP did.
18. Current hate right now?
I'm not sure that "hate" is the right word, but I am concerned about the way Internet gif memeage appears to have simplified political discourse, though I also wonder if it was ever thus and the Internet has just made the general level of political thought and discussion more visible. I worry that it has a polarising effect that leads to extremism of various kinds. I actually find it has a paralysing effect on my own ability to take action since I see so much unreasonable and biased nonsense that I increasingly second guess my own opinions.
I mean, obviously, this is just a variety of middle-class liberal hand-wringing...
19. Favourite place to be?
Errr... see above, though PP's answer of Home was a good one.
20. How do you ring in the New Year?
In general we are playing Arkham Horror with
claraste's family and using their custom rules. Of late, we have tended to lose having discovered a previously over-looked rule about the number of gates you could have open at any time.
21. Where would you like to go?
Orkney Islands.
22. Name three people who will complete this?
As noted, not tagging.
23. Do you own slippers?
Yes.
24. What colour shirt are you wearing?
Blue and white.
25. Do you like sleeping on satin sheets?
I suspect they would be rather hot and slippery, though I've never tried.
26. Can you whistle?
Quietly.
27. Favourite colour?
Errr.. Green? Purple? Maroon?
28. Would you be a pirate?
If you are asking if I'd like to be an 18th century seaman/seawoman either under duress or with a crew largely under duress, with a pretty short life expectancy and a pretty vicious lifestyle, then no.
On the other hand, if you are asking if I'd like to wear fancy outfits involving boots, bodices, floppy shirts and rapiers; swing from ropes and swashbuckle extensively and have fantastical adventures on the high seas, then I'd be all for it.
29. What songs do you sing in the shower?
I don't generally sing in the shower.
30. Favourite girls name?
Err.. see above.
31. Favourite boys name?
Err... see above.
32. What’s in your pocket right now?
Nothing.
33. Last person that made you laugh?
G.
34. Best toy as a child?
Probably my Star Wars figures. I certainly played with them a lot.
35. Worst injury?
Probably the time I twisted (and possibly broke) my ankle while trying to get used to wearing heels.
36. Where would you love to live?
My problem is that I'd love to live in glorious rolling countryside within a half hour walk of work, shops, a pub, a hairdresser and several decent restaurants. I'm sure you all see the problem here.
37. How many TVs do you have in your house?
One.
38. Who is your loudest friend?
Depends what you mean by loud. Possibly my youngest brother-in-law.
39. How many dogs do you have?
None.
40. Does someone trust you?
Well I hope my family and coworkers trust me.
41. What is your favourite movie?
See above.
42. What’s your favourite sweet?
Not really a fan of sweets, though I do like chocolates. If chocolates then I love Chocolate Tasting Club boxes.
43. What’s your favourite sports team?
I don't watch sports.
44. What song do you want played at your funeral?
I think this comes under favourites. Nothing too like a dirge.
