I think we're further in time from Rose now than Rose was from Survival, which really isn't the way it feels in my head.

... And I kind of of want to reach through my screen to Dreamwidth, then through the portal to the Livejournal continuum, so that I can wrap my hands around your throat for a healthy squeeze* for pointing out such a disturbing truth to me.

In return (and guessing that your age is within a decade or so of mine), it (sorta) pleases me to point out that 1970 is a full god damned twenty years further from the present is 2050.

Mortality is a terrible, terrible, thing.

From Davies' brilliant 90-second (or so) opening through the end of his third series, Rose's hero's journey was one of my favourite pieces of pop culture ever. Thanks for that pic!

You have me curious: Who are your favourite companions? My personal top three (in simple chronological order) would be Sarah-Jane, Ace, and Rose, and Leela — er, that's actually four, isn't it? — with shout-outs to Jamie MacCrimmon, though he was way before my time, and Captain Jack (of course!).
