The Stockbridge Horror

B&W comic panel of a hooded muscled black person clinging to the outside of the Tardis as it travels through space. The panels say first: something that clung like a climber to a rock-face... or a predator to its prey... and secondly: Something huge and dark... something like fear itself... massively, inexorably inching its way along the ledge... gaining a foothold... and lastly: ... seeking ENTRANCE!
The Stockbridge Horror was never my favourite Dr Who comic though it is from a much loved era. A bit too much horror for my taste, I think. But this image I think has been very influential. The new series has several times seen people cling to the outside of the Tardis as it travels.

I really like The Stockbridge Horror, although there definitely is an art quality shift downwards once Steve Parkhouse stops drawing as well as writing, and a shift in tone once we get to Gallifrey that jars a bit when reading in one go.
