2021 Blanket

I fell behind on the annual crochet blanket this year, as I fell behind on so many things, and even as we tucked ourselves onto the sofa under previous blankets in our boiler-free house for five weeks. However I finally have it done!



I went for purple as a theme. This year its going to be stash-busting because the yarn pile has got too large.

They are surprisingly warm, given quite a few of the squares are quite lacey - if you see what I mean.

Moogly publishes a square pattern every fortnight, so it feels sort of manageable in that you are just working on the next square (unless you get behind, of course, which I did last year).

I think I'd be behind in no time flat. I have one such blanket that is such complicated squares (I do a lot of granny squares, because I can do that on the train), and the 16 squares took most of two years.
