Made using this pattern from instructables. I've not figured out a filter for the internal pocket yet. The research linked from instructables suggest hoover bags but B. is concerned that they contain glass fibres. Obviously, this doesn't seal, so its of more use in preventing me infecting other people than in preventing other people infecting me and, in general, even using the recommended fabrics, not as effective as a medical mask. However, as B. observes, the mood music suggests that face coverings are likely to become important as lockdown eases.

Indeed. I'm vaguely concerned about this, as I wouldn't know how to go about making them and fear that I might have borderline autistic sensory issues with wearing them.

Yes, one is definitely aware that its on. B's guess, given that actual medical ones are in short supply and the government doesn't want private people taking up the stock, is that almost any face covering will be sufficient if it does become encouraged - so a scarf should suffice if you can't get an actual mask of some sort.
