I feel we were lucky to get a child who in inclination and temperament suited us and the way we chose to parent. well - it wasn't blind chance, obviously, but it wasn't guaranteed either...
... and we still have a handful of years left in which it can go horribly wrong though I do feel the further we move away from age 13 the less likely this becomes.
Well there is obvious a selection bias in the friends she chooses - even so, in a year group of approx 80 its quite impressive that she knows at least three who will be impressed to various degrees by paper doll Doctors.
