Hopefully they'll roll out more charging points so that the pavement doesn't become impassable for the less nimble / wheelchair users / etc. And actually put the charging points where people want to use them - there's one near Warren Street station that I pass fairly often and I have never seen in use.
I'm assuming the ramp across the middle is a combination attempt to avoid it being a trip hazard and to allow wheelchair users to pass - though I've no idea if that's a requirement or just the owner having some forethought. But I've no idea what the ultimate solution for suburban streets with a lot of on road parking will ultimately be since you wouldn't want this outside every house. On the other hand, I doubt you will get owners to pay for charging points to be located on the pavement or that (even if they could afford to pay for them) councils will be particularly keen to have rows of charging points on the pavements.
