I'm interested that there's a lot of stuff from back in the day that I'm pretty sure I watched a lot of "because it was on". Some, such as The Six Million Dollar Man, I don't recall watching so much as playing in the playground - so I deduce I watched it, but there is some uncertainty there.

There are some more programmes that I probably watched enough of as a youngster, but am not sure enough to mark them up here. Eg The Six Million Dollar Man and original BSG. Whereas I know for sure I watched enough A-Team around the same time, so marked that. It's a very American focused list, but I was surprised just how many things I had seen. And every time I look at it I seem to spot more to mark!

I definitely saw The Bionic Woman though not sure how much. I was surprised the police series with William Shatner wasn’t on there. I added a couple of UK shows in my version of the list - Robin of Sherwood and Sapphire & Steel. Though I also added the US show Alias, which I have seen all of.

Fun, but too much work.

The version I copied from had even more comments in it to edit out than my own post did! Yes, a clean version would be nice. But I do rather like how it’s evolving, and e.g. adding more UK shows.

That’s what Martin felt too, though he did start looking through it. He was agog at some of the things I’d seen but he didn’t see. He didn’t have a TV at home at all as a child. For example he asked about “Scarecrow and Mrs King” and I boggled him by saying who was the male lead in that one!

Careful, Spoilers! ;-).

I'm surprised that he was surprised. I suppose everyone thinks their own childhood was normal, so if you didn't have a TV, or weren't allowed to watch ITV (I knew some kids whose parents thought ITV was evil and would only let them watch BBC) perhaps you assume everyone else was the same.

From a casual glance through I saw things that you didn't mark and didn't see things you did (never watched any Beverly Hills 90210, for example). Some of that is the two or three year difference in age, some of it is what your parents watched compared to mine.

Something missing from that is whether you saw something on its origina broadcast or later. I watched all of Blakes 7 on original broadcast for example, and all of DR who from late Pertwee, but have watched The Prisoner (well before my time) and eearly Dr Who (likewise) on repeats/disc/streaming/download.

I think he was just agog how much telly there was. That he didn't see.

Everything I would have watched on first UK broadcast, apart from stuff I was too young to see then, so saw on later repeats. Eg Star Trek TOS, Bewitched and not on the list The Prisoner.

However for Doctor Who I only started watching in 1978 with season 16 ("Key to Time") so anything before then was on repeat or DVD etc. And I haven't seen (or e.g. heard for wiped stuff) it all. Oh and in 1996 Martin and I somehow missed the TV Movie. Which continues to boggle me. But we saw it later.

I loved Robin of Sherwood and Blakes 7 an embarrassing amount. I Enjoyed rewatching B7 but daren't try RoS.

Yes, that music made the show. And *meaningful looks* are difficult to write in fic so that ruins both Robins and some of the better acting from Marion (*brave and supportive*) or the Sheriff (*enraged stare*). Lots of "smell the fart" acting but good actually, lol.
