13 Copies of the Wrong Book

As part of writing a book CUP offered myself and my co-author free copies. So today I took receipt of 13 copies of someone else's book. Apparently CUP do not want this back so I'm not sure what to do with them - I suspect the local charity shops will not want.

That’s pretty specialist stuff. Is there a nearby university department that teaches in that field that might accept them for their students?

Sympathies! I had something similar happen before with a book order I placed with a university press. They sent a bundle of many massive bibles. Very much not what I ordered … They did take them back though.

Maybe the author would be willing to take them off your hands (and pay the postage).
