The bubble-wrap monster from Ark in Space is probably more famous than this costume - if only because the actors are required to treat the bubble-wrap with horror, but at least in that case they had the decency to paint the bubble wrap green. This feels like they just thought - oh yes! everyone will be wearing bubble wrap in the Space Year 2030.
